Angry Stem discolored and little Clone leaf fell off

Any ideas on what I've done wrong? This little one had sever root rot so I cleaned her up and repotted. But weeks later i have leathery leaves and the little clone leaf fell off this morning...

First, Welcome!

If there was root rot, it may be that there's not enough in the way of good roots for the plant to hydrate itself. With fresh medium (you did exactly the right thing in repotting) it has a very good chance of growing some new ones. Remember, the fresh medium won't hold water the way the old stuff did, so you'll need to water more often. Water well, let it run through the pot and drain thoroughly. Feel the weight of the pot when you have just watered, then lift it again over the next few days - when it feels light, water again.

As for that small leaf... where was it? If it was a new one in the crown (the "pocket" where the leaves come together) keep an eye on things... if the crown is intact, it will produce a new leaf. But that's another place where rot can occur (which can be treated with a few drops of hydrogen peroxide)... can you take a photo that shows that area?

Roberta,

Thank you for the info. I'm new at this and only started because where I work these 3 orchids were just in sad shape and as silly as it seems everyday I just felt like they were crying out for me to rescue them...so I did.lol
Ok so the little leaf was what I believe to be a tiny little clone, I discovered her when cleaning up the root root. She was of of the main plant be herself. I've attached a few more pictures. So do u think they should be watered more than once a week which is what I'm currently doing. I will say 2 out of the 3 had sever root issues so they are definitely starting back out with limited roots, sadly.

Thank u!!

Possible that the little leaf was a "basal keiki" trying to get going - in response to the stress. The main plant looks good, though... I do think that you can increase the frequency of watering (like maybe twice a week, or every 3 days) because the new medium will dry out quickly. Just be patient. Orchids don't do anything fast - progress is measured in months rather than days or weeks. But if the rescue works, it is soooo rewarding! Best of wishes in that endeavor!

Oh good what a relief think I will increase the watering to 2x week until she gets a little sturdier. Months for progress I guess patience is another thing these 3 will teach me! Thank you so much for the information take care!!!
