Smile Masdevallia Glandulosa - Source

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I could use some help in locating a source for a Masdevallia Glandulosa. I have only been able to find one grower " Wood Stream " and they are only offering 2" pots. As always your help is greatly appreciated. I hope I can return similar favors in the future, when I actually know something. Regards

Very cool Masdie - Masdevallia glandulosa
IOSPE PHOTOS
I am so glad you are asking about this species .. in attempting to look for it, I found that this masdie is in
direct lineage with most of the masdies I have - Masd. Celtic Frost(Angel Frost x glanduosa) - Orchid Web: Masd. Celtic Frost
and Masd. Maui Jewel(tonduzii 'Makawao' x glandulosa 'Chris') - http://www.komodaorchids.com/Masd.MauiJewel.jpg
I hope, one day, to acquire Masd. Masd. Snow Cone
(Masd. rex 'Maui Titan' CHM/AOS x Masd. glandulosa 'Chris') - Orchid Web: Masd. Snow Cone

Here are a list of Pleurothallid Growers you might want to email or call .. many times they have orchids but not enough to advertise online ..

A 2" pot might be just about full size for this one. I have many of my species in pots smaller than this, and they are fully grown (though by no means specimen size)--they put out quite a display every year at any rate.

Just my but sometimes hybrids, especially self crossed, are more hardy than species. So if you have any doubts at all about your growing conditions, the hybrids might be the better choice for now. Just a thought.

Thanks Ross. The orchid listed in Wood Stream was Masdevallia Grandulosa x Equisitae. I don't know if that is a self cross or not.

Uechi--
Try zipping an e-mail to the owners at this site; they grow Masd. glandulosa and will ship small hobby sized orders on request. Good luck and good growing,

Masdevallia Grandulosa x Equisitae is a primary hybrid

Dorothy... Orchidscape is an Australian nursery I believe...might be a doozy to ship it
You might also look at Ecuagenera's show schedule and see if they will be near you at a show. If you pre-order the plant from them, they will bring it to you at the show...

Thanks for all the inputs I will try Kalapana. I went to the OrchidScape Web site and when you go to order it tells you plants are only for shipment to Australia except for flasks. Is FS flask?
