I received a box of very dry and sad masdevallia divisions that looked more like left over scraps than viable divisions, last spring. I decided to try to rehabilitate what I could just to see what some of the plants were. It was slow going let me tell you. Some died of course and others are limping along, slowly growing roots and leaves. This is the first to bloom from those bits and pieces. It has a nice red/orange color, not too vibrant, that started out darker and has lightened up some with age. The sepals are a bright yellow. I hope that in time the next flowers will fill out their shape alittle better. If anyone has a clue to which hybrid it could be I'd be very grateful, thanks.

These look possibly nutrient deficient. KelpMax could help. It has good rep for stimulating root growth. Looks like maybe one of the parents could be Masdevallia barlaeana.

Very nice, I have to agree with the possible parentage.
