Pleurothallis - red flower - help with identification
Default Pleurothallis - red flower - help with identification

Could anybody help me with identification of this Pleurothallis species?

It was in flower this year on August and September, but I do not know anything more about it...

I don't think this is a pleurothallis at all. I think it's a Trichosalpinx. What species, I'm not sure.

I would agree with you, the problem being, the flowers of the Trichosalpinx emerge at the top of the leaf almost always. Although, it could easily be of a different genus besides Pleurothallis. Dadula, how certain are you about the genus?

definitely a trichosalpinx. taxonomy is a mess with these as many pleuros, but my guess is caudata.
