Wow, those are long trichomes on the sepals. Maybe its trying to capture something?? I wonder if it traps the pollinator or just pollen carried by the pollinator.

The bright colors of the flower and the texture inside it makes it a very interesting Masdie.... you have a specimen growing happy and healthy that gave you those magnificent bouquet of blooms....

Thanks you, Rosie. I suppose this award doesn't mean as much as a flower quality award, but I like the CBR because it means that this is the first time the species has been recognized in the AOS judging system.
