Default Masdevallia coccinea

This species is found growing terrestrial in Colombia and Peru. This is a cold growing species and as you know its flowers have many colour variations.

Last summer i got about 30 coccineas from Germany and Netherlands, different colours and flower forms.
I bought some, but i got many of them as a present from sellers.

I also have orange form of coccinea, hope this colour flowers next year. This colour is quite rare, at least here in Europe.

Dark pink form of M. coccinea

The shape is quite flat, it is not perfect at all, but it is not bad.
The flower stem is long (70 cm) and this plant has big leaves too.
I got this plant from my german friend some years ago.

Really gorgeous. Love both colour and form. I think I might have to look out for coccinea as my next Masdi to try growing.
