Default Masdevallia davisii

Now blooming ...

The expectation of the first flowering took a long time.
The flower developed for more than two months ...

Masdevallia davisii is a peruan small species, growing terrestrial or lithophytic. This species is cool grower and tolerate more light than many other masdevallias.
The flower is bright yellow and flower size is 4-4.5 cm.

... and closer look ...

Superb. One of my favorites, and gorgeous photography, too.

Thanks Sonya and Ron for your nice comments.

M. davisii is my favorite too, specially now when we have winter time here in Finland without any snow. It is dark here, but this very bright and vivid yellow flower make me smile every time i look at it ... ... my little sun ...

ramp likes this.
