I also really love that color. Do you know what color variety the coccinea parent was? I know coccinea is a cool grower, so I probably could not grow it in my conditions. However, that Ruby Slippers you sent me a few months back is thriving, with tons of new growth and two spikes being thrown at the moment.

I don't know which color was used, but I would guess it was purple or red to produce such deep colors. If you want a piece of this one, I'll send some when it can be divided once again.

That is a unique coloring for an orchid...its got shades of mauve from the Manhattan skies at winter dusk...very beautiful
