I agree, it looks like tripterantha. Interestingly enough, it does resemble Masd. pachyura. Google search images for it reveal a multi floral Masd. species similiar to the pleuro. I was not familiar with the multi floral Masd. till now.

Cool tank and very cool orchid.

Very nice! I do agree that this is Pleurothallis tripterantha (Effusia).

The multi-floral Masdevallia genus that is being referred to is Spilotantha.

Default Masdevallia pachyura

This is my Masdevallia that I got as M. pachyura
Masdevallia pachyura | Orchids Online

Is it a variant of the typical pachyura?

Your plant pictured on Orchidsonline is actually a color variant of Spilotantha polysticta (Mas. polysticta; Section Amandae).

Thanks Pat!!!
It's always nice to have the correct label on a plant and on a blog entry!

I have come across polysticta before and thought mine was similar but yep the color was different:
Masdevallia polysticta | Orchids Online

I actually have another Masdevallia polysticta that hasn't flowered yet too .

Is Spilotantha one of the new reclassfication names for various [used to be] Masdevallias?

Spilotantha polysticta can be found in many colors, and vary in hairiness and length of caudae. Seems as if you have a good S. polysticta collection going on there

The new segregate genus Spiloltantha divides Subgenus Amanda from Masdevallia. It is one of many segregate genera made from Masdevallia...

Thanks for the info Pat Well after thinking about it some more I realised I'm not bummed because I have two different color variations of S. polysticta
