Default Acostaea costaricensis (?)

When I got this plant it was sold to me as Acostaea sp. I believe it is actually Acostaea costaricensis, idk.

They are currently in spike, but because the buds blast quite easily if I let the mount dry out too much, it's difficult to get a shot of it. So, I post instead an old photo of it. It's still not the best pic 'cause these buggers are so tiny. This is a side shot. A good frontal shot to show the petals and lip is extremely difficult w/o a macrolens (which I don't have).

The spikes are long, thin, and wiry.

This is actually the larger species of Acostaea with the leaf size being almost as large as that of Lepanthes telipogoniflora (it's still smaller than Lths telipogoniflora).

It blooms in succession.

The plant with spikes and buds (even magnified, they're kinda hard to see):

Thank you.

They spike off and on throughout the entire course of the year. This month they produced far more spikes than they have in the past several months since I've grown them.

I forgot to mention they bloom sequentially along the same spike. The spike continues to get longer and longer as each new bud is formed.

This species is a pain to get good solid blooms. Acostaea trilobata is a far better bloomer, but they are hard to get the plants going well.
