Masdevallia colossus 'Cascade' X Masdevallia goliath 'Seattle'

Got this one from Orchidaceae thanks to a tip from a fellow orchidboarder. Well its not in bloom yet, but its gonna pop soon, OMG its huge!!!!! As the names of both parents imply.
I looked up the two parent names in the international orchid register, and got nothing. Does anyone know if this is registered under any name???

For now enjoy the pre-bloom pics.

PS, Right now I am in Orchid heaven! I have M. Black Widow (M. ayabacana X M. cucullata) in spike as well as M. Macchu Picchu!!! Woo-hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (M. ayabacana X M. coccinea). I acan't wait!!!!!

Hi Tindo,
Are you growing your masdies in a terrarium? Is that the mister in the background?

Yup, yup. I have 4 misters running in two terrariums. The terrrariums are open, not closed.

Very nice Tin. I can just imagine how big that'll get in a year or so.

I've got to get a Machu Pichu myself. I like the flower, my wife likes the name.

Cheers.
Jim

Its starting to open up. yay!
Anyway, I saw that the tag from the vendor is mispelled, it is not collosus, it is colossus. Thanks all, please look for updates that are coming soon. Yay!

Whatever the name, it definitely needs one indicative of something large. I hope it gets a fantastic one.

I am running out of patience. I think it wants to open on Sunday, the only day of the week I will not see it. It is slowly beginning to open. I have not been this excited over a Masdie bloom since the first time I had a Masdie bloom for me.
