Lepanthes grow better mounted, but they like fairly humid conditions and like to stay pretty moist. They will not flower properly if they're allowed to dry out or if the humidity drops below 60%.

Grow in shade and intermediate temperatures (60 F - 85 F).

There are alot of in-situ shots of various Lepanthes species on Flickr.

Lths elegantula is a plant that comes from middle to moderately high elevation tropical cloud forests in countries such as Colombia and Ecuador. They grow on moss covered trees, usually alongside Masdevallias, Draculas, some Pleurothallis, and other Lepanthes species.

Restrepia brachypus can be potted, but watch out for root rot from over watering. These can dry out a bit more than a Lepanthes between waterings. Everything else is the same culture-wise as for the Lepanthes.

Restrepia brachypus is a seasonal bloomer (spring).
