Susanne, that does look like it! Thanks! The vendor is a "more South than me" FL vendor I have bought stuff from before (EFG Orchids). They have started to come to our Spring Garden Fest every year which is nice as they bring nice stuff that isn't always available on their website. They have the Oktoberfest dealie every year. WHen i asked him what it was, he couldn't remember, but said "Its the only one we grow". I looked on their website but it wasn't there. Emailed them, but they haven't answered. I think you are right about the ID, THANKS!

I have 2 Phaiocalanthe Kryptonite from EFG...great plants and wonderful customer service. I did have a problem getting through to them using the form their site provided. Try using powergrown@aol.com as a direct email, I'm sure you'll hear from them quickly.

Faerygirl,
I think this is either Masdevallia White Angel (most of which are white with orange tails) or possibly White Angel crossed back to Mary Staal (one of its parents). Many of both have appeared at shows in the last year. I'm inclined to think it is the latter, since it shows so much veitchiana influence. Either way, yours would be one of the best of the lot!
Now a question for you: What (or where) is Faeryland Sithen?
Regards,
Rick

Why Rick, I am surprised you have to ask...
The Sithen is the Heart of Faery, where all the Fey live, of course!
