Default Diodonopsis erinacea

Syn. Masdevallia erinacea. I am very excited to have this in bloom. I bought it this March, and it had finished blooming not long before that. I am actually surprised that it is blooming already; I thought there would be quite a learning curve for me because I do not have previous experience with Pleurothallids.

I couldn't get any closer to the bloom but at least it's in focus. The flowers only last 7-12 days but are produced in great abundance. It is a miniature for those who aren't familiar with it.

For some reason the image doesn't show... I'll try this again. I realize now that this should have been posted in the miniatures section...

No that's okay. Thanks though!

Is it any wonder that there is such an interest in growing orchids? Flowers like yours are very inspiring.

Very cute, hairy little thing. Haha, thanks for sharing.
