M. ayabacana is part of the subsection Durae now known under the genus name Regalia. Others that belong to this section are some really cool Masdies or Regalias;
R. ayabacana
R. dura
R. goliath
R. newmaniana
R. panguiënsis
R. princeps
R. regina
R. robusta
R. titan
and R. utriculata

From this list I have 4 species, and R. newmaniana almost bloomed for me this week.
