I just got my first Masdevallia this past Saturday at the Lansing show.

I would not have bought it, but my wife liked it and encouraged me to get it. So... if your spouse encourages you to get an orchid they like, how can you refuse??!!

I look forward to learning more about them as I go along with this one.
It is a veitchiana x datura hybrid.

Beautiful masda. I tried growing them a couple years ago and lost them because of wrong conditions (too hot). I may try another one in my basement where it is cooler.

Thanks for posting and reminding me how pretty they are.
