Default Some news regarding IN Komoda Orchids

Got an e-mail back from Ivan (one of my favorite sources) regarding some questions I had asked regarding the Masdies I got from him. In the e-mail, he indicated he was getting out of the supply of Masdies due to market conditions... Well, you read the e-mail:

Hi Ross,
Sounds like you need more humidity this time of year. If the plants will fit, take a large plastic soft drink bottle and cut one or both ends off then slip the plastic tube so that it surrounds the plant. This should help during the winter when the heat makes the air so dry.
I will have a very limited amount of Masdevallias next year due to the changing market environment and have refocused almost exclusively back to Miltoniopsis. I do hope though there will be a few things that interest you.

Let me know if this works or if you can take the concept and modify the set up.

Happy New Year.

Ivan

This is just an alert to those who might have been planning to order from him this spring (please give me a chance ) I think he has the best product by far (well, the Masdies I ordered were). I plan to add to my collection this spring but have to wait to get past "Old Man Winter" (Why is he an old man? )

I'm needing IK994, IK1378, IK1385 and if he has Highland Monarch, I'd like one of these. I will be in the Tampa/St Pete area end of April and can hook up with you to retrieve the stash. I really appreciate the gesture. Hope all the OB members get what they need and want before the supply dwindles Let me know the cost and I will send a check so's you don't have to sit on this order for a while PM me if this is a go!

It might be easier if I place the order for Ross, as I'm closer to the Tampa/St Pete area, I'll be ordering some stuff too so we can just split the shipping charges...that's not to say Dana and I won't be seeing each other before that anyway

Which way do you wanna go with this, Dana?

Whatever you two decide is fine with me. I'm good for it, and will send a check to whichever the lucky bidder is I agree with Susanne. Distance isn't that much of an issue, but we'll be on a rather tight schedule, so's a trip to Jacksonville is ok, but Tampa (Spring Hill) is even better.

Oh Ross, if we didn't already know that, we wouldn't have made the offer

Either way, even if Dana places the order, I will see her before you are here so you'd just be visiting me

Sorta like to see what that blue background, that looks a lot like water, is No way it can be water this time of year I always have time for one of my OB friends. My son will be in seventh Heaven seeing all the 'chids you have. Is that an offer? I just love (really, I do) seeing and meeting all you OB friends. I've met so many over the time I've been here. Nice place we have here, eh?

Sounds like a plan to me....we can all go invade Duncan's place while we're there! I call dibbs on Sue's guest room!!!! The "blue" background is gorgeous though it's been too cold to get in it the past couple of times we've been there

The less stress put on Ross' plants the better so if you (Sue) want to add them to your order, that's great.

No worries, Ross, we'll get you taken care of (if you're ordering compots, Sue and I will happily divide them for you before you pick them up )
