I think what helped it thrive is that I took it out of sphagnum. I placed the rootball on a little chunk of treefern at the bottom of a plastic pot. The roots have grown into the treefern and now they get lots of air instead of being in a ball of wet sphagnum.

Bayard, what is the temperature range at which you grow this?

WaterWitchin - The temperature in the summertime may go into the mid eighties, and the plant is bathed in mist from the fogger overhead. In winter, daytime temps may rise to the upper seventies, but night temps drop to the upper fifties regularly.
