Ok, so I am trying to improve my photos by not centering my subject. What do you think?

I'm certainly not a professional but I think this is a beautiful shot! Looks like a calendar pic. I can see every dot on the petals. Nice job!

Tindomul - What type of lens do you use? Is the camera a DSLR type? The reason I ask is if you have a DSLR type, close up lenses really punch up some starch in the photos. It eliminates the soft corners.
Still a great job though. I have problems with my backgrounds.....I find them either too busy or too distracting.
Keep up the great photos.....love to look at them.
Regards....Faz.

I use a Nikor Micro 60mm on my D70 and a Tamron 90mm Macro on my D200. I love the Tamron lens as I can get a great close up shot without standing too close. It is a 1:1 lens and not that heavy. I just fing these types of mico/macro lenses do much better job. I used to use a 28 - 105mm lens before this, but had problems keeping the whole picture in focus.
Just my I still like your photo.
Regards.....Faz.

Well, like I said, I'm just a beginner and the lenses I have are the basic ones. And I'll have to stick with those for a good long while, lol. THanks for comments guys!!

Tin - Asymmetry can be used between the subject and the negative space for interesting composition
