Macros Lens and Ring Flash
Finally took the plunge and I splurged on a macro lens with a ring flash. It's supposed to arrive in a few days so I'm pretty excited.
I got the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM with a Macro Ring Lite MR-14EX also by Canon
I'll post a few test shots once I get it. |

Too funny, Marty! We don't have a Cannon but my husband just got a new marco lens and flash too! I can't wait to see some pictures of your amazing vivs!!!

I have the lens and have wanted the flash for a long time, so I'll be interested to see your photos!
Perhaps you can do a little with and without flash so that I can see if I really, really, need to buy one! LOL

Someone lent this lens at our orchid show last weekend and i loved it! I'm probably going to get one in the next few months too.

Got a bit bummed out...got the lens and the flash, but the flash wouldn't fire on all cylinders. Only the left bulb would go off so I had to ship it back.
Lens is amazing. I'm getting new flash tomorrow so I'll post more pics, but here's one with the busted flash. I cropped it a bit.

OK, just got the new flash. Haven't played with the settings much...only had it about 30 min. Amazign how close I can get though to the subjects. I love it!
