Default I'm unable to post pictures

Could someone tell me why all of a sudden I can't post pictures? I download as I always have, and get "upload errors" saying my file exceeds forum's limit for this filetype. I am using the same camera and taking pics the same exact way I always have.
I know little about computers, and less about cameras, so I just know the basics.
I tried to understand the "Shrink Pictures" section but do not know where to find "Select New Maximum Image dimension."
Sorry for being so technology challenged.

Hi kiki, I'm sure there are better ways but the way I resize my pictures is, When you find the picture you want Right click on the picture then click on the EDIT option, the picture will open in windows paint program. click on IMAGE then select stretch/skew, change the 100% to 75% on both directions (horizontal and vertical) Then save it Upload your newly resized picture. Hope this works for you. Good luck.

Kiki, did you check if your allowed quota of space is not exceeded? I once had the same trouble and the problem was that my quota of space was exceeded. In that case send a PM to Martin and he will fix it for you.

I'm pretty sure this won't help you out Kiki because I know nothing about computers and cameras as well. But have you tried right clicking on the picture before you try uploading it? When I right click on the pic there is an option that says resize picture. I think I may have downloaded one of the resizing tools Sue had posted about. But it's been awhile and I can't remember for sure. Like I said, that probably doesn't help but it's a thought.

If you downloaded the resize application - then just right click your mouse on your photo and the option of 'Resize Pictures should be in the drop down menu. When you click on it, you will have the choice as to what size you wish to alter it to ..

Hi All, Thank you for trying to help me. I tried to "download" that file, and it asked me if I wanted to run or save it. I said save to desktop, cause it wanted me to specify where to save it. Honestly, this is where I get confused. I don't know how to incorporate that process to my picture resizing. Yes, I feel very stupid right now.
Then Dave tried to explain how to resize it via the windows paint program. I got through that so far, now I need to post the picture and see if I understood that process.
I just don't understand why all of a sudden this happened. Looking at the amount of pictures I've posted, I don't think I am close to being full yet. (Thanks Mauro for telling me to look at that).
So here goes. The famous picture that gives me such a hard time to load here.
And if this works out, that means I have to do this will all my pictures?
The following picture is one of many that I took recently up back of my yard. I have about 50 lady slippers all through my blueberry patches. Mainly white and pinks, but so pretty.

It worked! Just as a hint (I hope this means something to you!) I usually size my photos for 640 pixels long side of image. Tpically when you view one of my photos it will be 640x480 pixels. I use Photoshop to do this as I use it daily in my photography, but there are lots of others that do this as well.

I need to say something here for all (not just Kiki... simply dragging a photo smaller will usually not get rid of pixels and make the photo smaller. Somehow you need to "dump" excess pixels to get the photo file size down to the limits of the board. Hope this makes sense. The reason I say this is that in Powerpoint, one can "resize" and image by dragging the corners. The original file size stays intact. This will still produce a large file size that may not make the limits. Hope this was clear?

Here are two more pics. Apparently it works this way, as long as I do each individual picture.

Hi Dorothy, It is downloaded now and that option to resize does pop up if I right click on my picture. Thanks.
One thing that Ross mentioned, was about the pixel size. I checked those three pics that were giving me trouble and they were 640 x 480 pixels to begin with, and now they are less than that. So I don't understand why it gave me a hard time to begin with. It was the right size, yet wouldn't load at all and I tried it 4 times. In fact, all my pics are 640 x 480 pixels.
