Huntington Library Orchid Show 2022
Default Huntington Library Orchid Show 2022

I thought I'd share some of the photos I took at last month's orchid show at the Huntington Library & Botanical Gardens.

I labeled what I could based on wider shots I took with my phone that showed tags. If you know the ID of anything I missed feel free to comment here or there. Also, feel free to mention if the colors look too inaccurate. I aim for fidelity, but considering the poor lighting conditions (for photography) and my laziness with reference shots there may be some that are off.

Hope you enjoy!

I think that DSC_1743.jpg is Vanda Paki or one of its offspring. Nice bunch of pix!

I’d love to know the name of the pink Laelia immediately after the two shots of Angraecum longicalcar.

I think it’s at about 60% of the way through (17th of 30 rows on my screen).

Cheers

That particular one doesn't have an ID in the "info" panel. Looks a lot like it has L. superbiens in its background, maybe L. anceps too. It's a beauty.

Schombolaelia Summit 'Tomiko'

I managed to photograph the whole plant on my phone but miss the label, somehow. Luckily I found it on a youtube video. They get to that table at 30:50.
