Default Dtps. Black Butterfly 'Orchis-01'

Didn't bloom last year, and the year before was its first bloom. This one is has been more trouble than my other Phals. I think it's finally well-established.

It's darker than it looks in these photos, but not by much; colour is truest in the third one. The backlit photo is really interesting in full size; particularly the fringes of colour in the picotee, and the thickness of the petal midrib. And the fangs are just plain fun.

it's not a dendrobium, it's a doritaenopsis...

but it's still fabulous!
