Awww... she won Ben over... fast! She is so cute that ol'Ben couldnt resist her charm. Lots of toys, perhaps one or two orchids and she will leave Ben alone.

well... not really... he has accepted and tolerates her... but... if she gets too close or gets to hyperactive around Ben, she immediately gets it very clear she should stay at her place!

LOST CAUSE!!! as most cats she prefers playing with a piece of trash or leave than playing with "expensive" toys You can ask my partner who immediately went to buy some toys and nobody cares about them in the house...

All my plants are now in the Greenhouse... I only have the succulents in the lavatory, but neither Ben nor Agatha are interested in them...

and now some funny facts about Agatha:

1.- She cannot meow like a normal cat... instead of that she makes a noise similar to that made by Budgerigars... really funny, because Ben used to think it was a bird in the house and immediately run to see where it was, only finding Agatha (I must admit, we also has fallen into that! )

2.- She has not seen that (currently) famous video made at the MIT on the physics ruling the way cats drink water (similar video in this link: ) Instead of that, she just dips her paw in the water and lick the wet hairs... also kindda funny, but I am getting annoyed with all the water splitted on the wooden floor

3.- For some reason, she must think she is a parakeet (not only the fact on point 1), but she loves jumping on people's shoulder and staying there.. every time I sit in front of the Mac or TV, she just gets on my shoulder and watch what I am doing...

Ok, your Agatha is starting to sound like a female version of mine. Out of curiosity does she like Cat-nip?

I'm also waiting for that eventual photo of both Ben and Agatha together.... It will happen!.... It must

i agree with the toy part. they won't like the expensive toys. however i found mine interested in anything mouse shaped. there's a mouse dangling at the cat tree, a springy mouse which already broken and the fave is the fishing rod with mouse bait. they love the fishing rod so much that they can play with the mouse by themselves!

some of my kitties also chirps instead of meow. and sometimes they do the high frequency one - mouth open but no sound.

maybe you can try using the water fountain. i use the one from hagen - catit brand. the cat can lick the water from the dome. which reminds to refill the fountain downstairs - they have a clay water bowl upstairs

Default Toy rejects!

It's so true. We have a scratching post both cats completely ignore.. and a ton of little toys they occasionally bat around out of boredom, but mostly just leave in the middle of the hallway to express their displeasure.

The only toys they enjoy are the ugly, horrible cat tree that makes our living room look awful (but they love it so I can't ever see us getting rid of it), a cardboard scratching dealie which sheds bits of cardboard all over my office, and this one mouse toy covered with real fur - which the kitten used to play fetch with but now has skinned entirely. She chews on the skin, which is slowly dwindling into nothing. No idea where the insides of it went.

Of course, with more than one cat, they become one another's toys fairly quickly.

And yes, they eat my plants. One of my favorite Neo's has several dying leaves, and they just knocked down and chewed on another orchid a few nights ago. Mostly it's the kitten who goes after anything she can reach.

Watching her dip her paw in the water and lick it off sounds very entertaining (but I guess it would be kind of messy).

Although L'Agata doesn't look like one, she has some characteristics of a Maine Coon. They make a chirping sound and love to play in water.

LOL Independent of the whole spanish monologue (which, by the way, is excellent!), go to minute 2:35 and you can see how Agatha drinks water (exactly like Emily!)
