Yes you can! I have a blue Betta with my Neons, Glowlights and Corydoras...he's the best kind! They just don't get along with the larger types of fish.

I've kept it with Neons and corys before. It was always chasing them. Maybe it was too small a space. I currently keep one with a Gambusia affinis, and they are in a well planted bucket. He does not fight the Gambusia there.

It's not so much that, Shadow, they can be put in with other fish, just not another male betta or they will fight til death.
Very pretty fish with funny behavior.

Me too a Betta lover. I'm losing interests since I move to Orchid. main reason it's the time needed to spent on water change and their beauty last only a couple of months and you need to breed again.
Here are few of my collection.

Tindo, your fighting fish is really putting on a show...must know he's on YouTube....flutting his gills about and staring into the camera....beautiful looking! Love the red. Doesn't compare at all to the ugly bass I catch every summer.
