Default Now, this little guy knows comfort :)

We have lots of little lizards living in the orchid room and around the lanai. Last month, one of two must've given birth because we've had many tiny little guys running around...they're so cute!

Last night when I was bringing the dogs out in back, I found this guy sleeping on one of the Lc Ann Akagi blooms...and he stayed there all night! Still hanging out this morning

So do they keep insect infestations down?

Oh, absolutely!

We keep a close eye on the dogs with them because the lizards' tails make them sick if they catch one but I love having them around. I once read (sorry, don't remember where) that if you have a greenhouse, you should actually try to acquire a few of these guys.

I still get pests but I'm sure with the number of plants here that there would be a lot more if not for the mini-pets out there

It is always great to see helpful critters around especially with the unhelpful ones out there.

It looks like an Anole species.Does he change color? When in season, they call to each other with a cute little chirp and the males flash an orange dewlap,a fold of skin under thier chin,to attract a mate.Too cool Susanne.

We have a few different species running around. I'll try to post a few pictures when I can find them

Some turn color, becoming a very bright green. Others have a tan diamond shape zipped along their backs and others look like miniature dragons.

I named one of them Frankie, for Frank Sinatra, 'cause he's just too cool

Thanks for sharing this interesting photo, Susanne. I think you could make a cool video of your wildlife.

Default Hehehe...this is too funny!

He's baaaaack

The one on the screen hangs out there every day, all day and night. There are two plant stands directly in front of this window so she has her own little paradise
