Default My puppy Bil

Well we've had Bil since New Years Eve and he is now 10 months old. Spanish Water dogs for the most part love the water and Bil is no exception. I was finishing my shower the other morning and he started barking and backing up and barking again...it was the shower cap. He was not sure what it was . Now he knows.

He's so cute. The next thing you know he'll be trying to take a shower with you. I love his curls and the expression on his face.

If you have never had a verrry active working dog and trained dogs in obedience you should not even consider have one of these guys. They need a job and do not do well crated up for long periods of time. I have had many other working dogs over the last 40 years. He is by far the most to handle. But We love him. I already knew he would be a handful.

His hair is very curly. I have to clipper him all the way down about every 3-4 months so he drys off from swimming in the pool quickly.

How do you take such a dog for a swim in the middle of alligator alley? My golden retriever still loves swimming after 12 years but he just can't do it without hurting for the next couple of days.
