We can find a perennial plant called " kuppamenia"
in our gardens which cats can play with .If you can grow it there your orchids are free.
those plants can stimulate cats . And its a remedy too.

Thanks again for reply
I'm still looking for the so-called cat weed to test it but I also would like a dissuasive method as i think he just like to bite orchids because they are fat and play with them just as toys. A very attractive plant can help distract him but I suppose it just wouldn't be enough

Cats hate Citrus. You can get some lemon or orange essential oil from the healthfood store (it's very cheap) and put several drops in unscented potpourri and sprinkle around your plants. Or you could try spraying with water that has several drops of the eo in it. Just make sure it's potent enough you can smell it when close to the plants. It also works to keep cats off furniture. Just don't forget to refresh regularly, as soon as the cats don't smell citrus, they'll be back.

Cats are not stupid. Treat them like they are helpless and untrainable, and they will walk all over you.
If you take charge and set limits on acceptable behavior, there won't be any problems.

You get what you tolerate.

if you have heard 'dogs have masters, cats have slaves' you'll get the idea. my cats thinks my life revolve around them! they'll check what i bring from the market, whether there's any canned food for them?

If you are not the "pack leader" setting limits of acceptable behavior, dogs take charge too.

Assigning human emotions to animals is cute, but it isn't reality. It is an excuse for failure.

I repeat, you get what you tolerate.

I've never kept cats (or dogs) but my grandma used to say the same thing.

She could not believe that people would allow their cats to walk on their kitchen tops (being VERY fastidious about food hygeine and being an inspector for the local Womens Institute markets).

She would be told 'but they can't be stopped' to which she responded 'well mine know they are not allowed'.

She had trained hers by simply putting them on the floor again every time they climed on to the tops and every cat she had ever owned learned the lesson and stopped even trying.

I'm not a cat expert but they are definitively not dog.
First cats aint mine so I'm just trying to defend my self, i cant decide anything bout them and i cant either bring time back to reset their behaviour. Second now the cat knows I dont want to, but when I'm not looking he will surely bite them. What should I do then?
