Default The Boys

I adopted these two brothers in March, they were born Dec. 24th, 2005. I have only ever had one other cat, he lived with me for 18 years, and he died in Jan. of this year. So having the two of these guys is definitely a learning experience!

They are wonderful though, their names are Zuni and Tocho. They are American Bobtails. They tell me they are still going to get bigger, that this breed takes 2-3 years to mature. They are already 12 pounds each!!

Amazingly enough, they have not damaged even one orchid. Everything else in the condo has been destroyed time and time again, but for some reason they leave the orchids alone. I dunno why...I'm sure they have a master plan.

WOW....those are gorgeous boys. It's a good thing that they don't bother your orchids. Mine don't either but I'm sure that it has something to do with having them since they were six weeks old....they just learned that orchids are to be looked at and not treated as food or toys. I bet it's the same for your two beautiful babies.

Gin, I stopped into the Pet Supermarket the other day for fish food and was in awe at a cage full of finches that they had. There were about 8 different types (a few of each) and there were 3 of the most gorgeous finches I've ever seen. They were Lady Gouldians. I checked the price list and most were in the $13-$20 range. Of course, the ones I liked were the $100.00 ones!
Oh well, no finches for me but so pretty:

OMG, what wonderful cats! Are their eyes still as blue as when they were kittens? It looks like, in all the newer photos, they have them closed. Typical cats!

They are really beautiful...I get so many comments on them all the time. Thank you. Zuni's eyes are like a silver-gray. Tocho's are sky blue.
