Default My scaly babies.

You've seen my kitties, now it's time to introduce you to my snakes. They are both corn snakes, of the most spoiled variety. There enclosure has trees to climb, even has a flat piece of wood on their enclosure lid, they have a "cliff" that they hide in with about 5 levels and also they have a hidey cave, on the warm side. Spoiled, I tell you, just spoiled.

We got Angel almost 5 years ago. Angel has a bit of an attitude. If you try to get her out of her tank, without giving her some kind of warning she will strike at you. I love her, attitude and all.

We got Lilly almost 2 years ago. Her attitude is far removed from Angel's. Lilly hasn't tried to bite me and she is very calm when she is out of the tank. If it is possible for snakes to be sweet, Lilly is.

Hope you enjoy my scaly babies.

Thanks, WhiteRabbit! I hope to have many, many years with these 2!

Sheridan, snakes aren't to be feared, well, some are. Corn Snakes are harmless and come in so many beautiful color combinations, it's amazing really.

Wow! Snakes are really neat. I hear a boa's poop changes colour part way through. What about corn snakes?

Wow Amanda! Very nice. I had a red rat snake like Lilly for many years before I released her again. She had a very nice disposition, too. My friend had a yellow rat snake like Angel and was very irritable like yours. My friend got bitten several times before she let that one go too. They are both common here in south Fla and grow to be very large. Great benefit because of the amount of rodents they eat. Yours are both very beautiful!

LOL...Amanda, I saw the title of your thread without noticing that it is in the Pet Depot and was all ready to tell you about using alcohol and 409 for scale!

Nice snakes...I like Lilly

Too Funny, Sue!! When I titled it "My Scaly Babies", the first thing I thought of was scale too!

Susan, I wonder if the colors have something to do with attitude? Sure seems like it!

Niki, color changing poo? What kind of colors? It's definitely different.

hmmmm very interesting! With Corn snakes it's brown and white, kind of strange, but okay. Why are we talking about poop? lol
