Default My four-legged buddies

My puppies, Raven (black) and Shelly (brown). He's about 4.5 and she's a little over 2 years old. Both pound puppies from the local shelter, and *major* "attention hounds".

(I also have eight newts, but I won't bore you with THAT many pictures, hehe).

Such beautiful babies! I happen to be a full-blown animal lover but my weakness is dogs...all shapes and sizes...I love them all

They are so cute! It's nice that you got them from the shelter as well....so many animals from there need good homes.

Thank you both

Oh, I know - I wish more people would adopt instead of buying new puppies (or kittens). So many people, though, are either stuck on the idea of getting a certain breed; or they think that there's something wrong with shelter dogs - that they're "bad" or diseased, or whatever.

Actually, Raven was pretty badly abused before he was found by someone and taken to the shelter that we got him from - poor kiddo had SUCH a flinch-reflex, it was horrible to see. Afraid of everything, didn't know how to play or talk or anything. It took about a year and a half, but he's perfectly fine, now - and having Shelly around has really helped him. We got her about 7 months after we got him.

Whoops. Babbling. Sorry.

It's true, though. And more people should spay or neuter their pets.
