Default Buford gets his teeth cleaned

I dont know many people who actually take their cats to have their teeth cleaned, heck in my neighborhood even the people avoidn havin they teeth cleaned

my cat hates me now. we give him a few more days. doc says he looks good other than the junk he took out that looked like a over grown tooth. I feel bad for my kitty but he will be better for it even if he hates me..

before.

good boy got his teeth cleaned up!!

so be careful when you check your kittys teeth. you might end up with a 900 dollar vet bill too..

I love my kittys!!!

Good to get them used to a brush or even a rougher textured cloth or wipe when they're very young if possible. Dental disease can be deadly to them and us. Hope he's on the mend!

Yes, I do have my pets teeth cleaned on regular basis. Currently I have 2 dogs but also the cats that enriched my life in the past got them cleaned when needed.

For me that's part of responsible pet ownership. But like you wrote, medical care can become very expensive. And at least here, prices went up fast (wages stay behind) to the point where many can't afford medical care for their pets.

Currently one of my dogs is in between 2 surgeries (second one tomorrow) with a totaal costs of about €9,000 - 9,500.

That's about 10,150 - 10,690 USD
No typo!

And keep in mind vet bills in NL overall are lower than in the US.

Insane, isn't it?

I have a health insurance for her. Covers 80% of it. Lucky me!

yikes my sister has a few rescues and she has insurance for them and lucky indeed

the long term young animals will benefit from the pet insurance bec if you have it then you take advantage of the free immunazations , 1 visit a year with xrays shots and and exam.. seems insignificant but its enough to get your pet to the vet.
