Default Rot on Paphiopedilum Lynleigh Koopowitz

This is so frustrating!!!

I got this at a show back in January and it is finally in bloom. Well, it is in the process of opening up now.

I found this mushy rot spreading last week and now it is affecting five leaves, moving from bottom up, all starting at the center, which makes me feel hopeless.

I know it is not a hard to find plant, but all this wait.
Last week, I thought I would at least enjoy the flower for a short while before tossing it, but with the way the rot is spreading, I don't think I will even see the fully open flower on this thing.

Has anyone ever had this center rot and managed to save paphs??

I'm not sure if it would be worth to soak it in some chemical and hope for the best for a few years down the road.

Oh, well...

It's sort of hit or miss, but I've saved some of my paphs with rot.
I give them a good drench with hydrogen peroxide and then make a paste with rubbing alcohol and cinnamon powder and slather it all around the rot with a Q-tip. it works more often than not.

I actually did some surgery cutting away four rotted leaves.
I was surprised to see how perfectly healthy the roots looked with growing white tips.

I soaked the entire plant in physan 20 for good half hour and then repotted into a new mix in a new pot.
Well, it has only been one day but the rot is spreading all over.

I'm going to toss.

Oh, well...I hope to buy something similar. maybe one more Lynleigh Koopowitz or even Lynleigh in Pink.
