Need help with Boisduval scale

This is my first posting!
After fighting scale with alcohol & cotton swaps for a year I am ready to give up. I have approx. 150 Cattleyas, but spend my time fighting scale and not enjoying my orchids.
I have purchased Bayer Advanced All In One Rose & Flower Care (concentrate, 32oz) and would like to dip all the pots in solutiuon. Could someone recommend a suitable mix ratio.

Hi Heniz -- I too am using bayer advanced in a ratio of tsp/galloon and use it once a week. In between i wipe the leaves on a daily basis and am using a combo of cinnamon extract (1tsp), dawn soap (10 drops) and water (2 cups). So far so good.

With all that time and effort i would try enstar it works great a big cost at first but that little bit goes a long way And less harmful to you and the other good insects.

When going after boisduval scale on cattleyas, I found it easier to dip a soft toothbrush in an alcohol mix rather than using swabs. It gets into the grooves on the pbulbs better. Gosh, 150 plants sound like an awful lot of work though!

FWIW, I recently found a boisduval scale infestation on a cymbidiums tuck in a hard-to-reach part of the GH, so thought I'd try a free sample of SucraShield that I got. It is an insecticide/miticide made from sugar (it's sucrose octanoate esters) that works by desiccating the eggs, larvae and pupae (and soft-bodied adults - not hard scale; too protected), rather than through a "toxin", per se, so has less of a chance of developing resistance.

Wiped the scale right out!

I sell it now, but don't know if it's possible to ship into Canada.
