Default Phal. leaves with blotches one them. Bacterial?

Hi all,

I have been growing orchids for abou 5 ears now and just this summer I have encountered some issses it seems. It may have even started in early spring. On some of my Phals I have noticed that a spot appears on the leaves and some times it goes through the leaf like a rotting spot other time it just stays ther and makes the leaf lok horrble. It is appearing on thenew growth on 1 plant and the older leaves on 2 other plant. I am thinking it is bactrial. I have had them out on the back deck all summer. However we have had record rain fall here on the east coast NB, Canada so they probly have been getting much wetter then they woudl hae been indoors where they spend the winter. I have attached some photos(photo #3 has water on the leaf but you should be able to see the spot) here I hope you can all see them and give me a helping hand form your vast experince

Shawn

It's been pretty wet all along the eastern coast! I see a lot of water spots on your phals, can you keep them from getting wet? If the medium has been staying wet, maybe it would be a good idea to check the roots to make sure they are not rotting. Phal leaves and roots should not stay wet, especially if the evenings get cool as they have been here in NY. As for bacterial problems, I really am not an expert on that. But, I'm sure others on the board are, so hopefully someone with more experience will have some input

Thanks Judi,

That could be some of the problem as it is always wet here this summer. The are under some trees on the back deck right now, the roots are good from what I have seen just the leaves. Some nights the temps do drop after it has just down poured. I will try kepping them a bit dryer perhaps and see if things improve. As for my tought on bacterial it was mostly the last pic with the blotchy leaves that make me question that.
