I would not worry about the spots on the Twinkle mine get the same on old leaves as long as the leaf is firm . Do the lumps come off the Catt leaf ? I can't tell would hate to say it is ok then turn out to be brown scale . Gin

DH brought home a great book recently. It is Miracle Gro's Complete Guide To Orchids. I have found the pest section to be very helpful. Good pictures. I am always worrying that my orchids have this or that. If you have a good book store nearby, you might want to check the pictures. Carol

Gin: no, the bumpss just stay there and there is only about 4-6 of them.
ive noticed a few spots (brown not black)on new growth but iam thinking it might just be a bit of sunburn because they were really close to the window and full sun

My first guess, especially on the Onc. was a tad too much sun. Not sure about the Cat (that looks so much like my Maxillaria, though) but thank goodness those brown spots don't come off as I was worried they were scale, as well. Perhaps just a blemish? Too much sun, also? Spots in the leaf, I'd guess sun, but raised bumps....I don't know.

Iy seems ive already solved the problem in moveing my onc to my bedroom window that faces the oposite of the house then the previous window so it should not be getting full on sun
