Default Black leaf badness

Just found this on my Lc Kimberly Federighi 'Nicole.'

Only seems to have affected this leaf. The plant was fine as of yesterday. Hopefully the pictures transmit that the top surface is just a color change, but the bottom is depressed in relation to the rest of the leaf. Any ideas? Treatment suggestions? Reply quickly because the leaf is getting whacked off otherwise...

Mites possibly? I had the something similar on my masd. earlier this year...I wiped down with some mild alcohol solution to see if they were in fact mites and sprayed with an insecticidal soap. Not sure though...

Could it be cold damage? I've seen spots like that on plants that were too close to a cold window.
