Hello. Can I use fungasite of insecticide that Home Depot sells? Like Ortho Garden Disease Control or Garden Safe Fungicide 3? Thank you.

Yes. In fact I've even seen in articles posted that others have use the Garden Safe pre-mixed in a spray bottle. If you have any doubt or questions you might want to check with Ortho to see if it is safe for orchids.....they are just a click away!

I would caution, however, that not all fungicides will work on insects. It's just that you saw a broad-spectrum product that does work. I use a product called "Garden Safe" by Schultz, from Home Depot and that does have limited insecticide action. But there are also fungicides on the shelf right next to this product that have no control whatsoever. Be aware what you are purchasing. By the way, broad spectrum products are certainly convenient, and generally safe to handle, but tend to not be as effective against the target critter as products sold specifically for that use. Just a heads-up.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)
