Den Angel Love "Vivid" leaf spots?
Default Den Angel Love "Vivid" leaf spots?

Hi, all! I recently acquired this Den. It was immaculate when purchased @ 3 weeks ago, so I know this is a result of being in my care.

This leaf developed this spotting/pits, and also there is often some dark sooty(?) stuff at the base of the leaves. I can wide the stuff away.

It was in beautiful bloom when purchased and still is, though a few blooms are starting to fade. When purchased, it was in sphagnum moss. Because it was in bloom, I didn't repot, but I plan on putting it in something else once done.

It gets watered every 3-4 days because it dries out so quickly being outside with a fairly steady breeze. It gets some dappled morning sun and med/bright shade throughout the day.

Any thoughts?

I think picture two is mechanical damage. If you can wipe away the "soot" use amber Listerine. I wouldn't worry.

Agree. With your high humidity you will be seeing lots of sooty mold.

Would Listerene damage the plant cuticle? For sooty mildew, I’ve just been using a moistened paper towel.
