Default Dialalia spotted leaves

I bought this last week and didn't notice these leaves being spotted. I have sprayed twice with physan and I am now isolating. I've looked on line with no clear conclusions. Your opinions, please.

(I always isolate but this time I sprayed all the new purchases with Bayer 3 in 1 and physan before putting them with the others).

Did it get cold on the ride home? That can damage older leaves like this.

No. It was a warm day. But it could have gotten cold before, I suppose. And they are all crammed together at the growers,I didn't see anything red flags.

Since it's been sprayed and now isolated, the next move should be?

Carol, I don't think that plant's going to spread any nasties to your others. I think it's safe to move it to its permanent home.

I have bought orchids with no notice to the leaves, pseudobulbs or roots as I was so taken by flowers. It happens. The orchid looks healthy in general so I think it will be fine. If you are really worried that this will spread, you can cut the leaf below the spots. Or, you can treat them with a bit if Isopropyl alcohol and watch to make certain they do not spread.

Good ideas both. I've already sprayed I'll relax and put it back. Thank you.

That spotting could even be a bit of sunburn, if it accidentally got a "hot spot". I don't think it is an indication of any problem that It could spread.

Great that the Cym is growing! Depending on the weather, I would not be in a huge rush... I actually have found that Cyms that I have potted/divided a bit later in the season, where the new growth is pretty well established, may bloom without missing a year unlike most of those done earlier. If you do wait, just be careful not to break the new growths... if done early, it may replace a broken new growth but later it won't. So, a balancing act.

Roberta! Did you see it? I'll have to divide it with a shovel. Seriously, how would you divide it?
