Default Spots under Epidendrum leaves

What could these be? They are only on the undersides of the leaves.

My small epi has some spots like this - tho they are from a few years ago - I hope someone can say what causes it. To me, it looks like a fungal issue maybe - tho I can say on mine, it never progressed, or seemed to harm the plant in any way ...

Some are sunken, others aren't. My first thought was fungus or perhaps exposure to cold. I'm just perplexed because it's only on the underside. I can't even see the sunken spots from the top. No sign of damage until you look under the leaves, thus why I never saw it until today when I moved it inside.

I don't know if spots on mine were sunken, but definitely only on the undersides - I'll have to go look at it ...

Do you have the name of yours?

Ah ok... spots on mine do seem the same. Mine does grow outside in winter when it's cool and damp, and I have wondered if that's the cause... I hope someone can help identify this ...
