Per earlier posts, unlikely to work on viruses. You need heat or something that will chemically break down the virus, like a strong oxidizer.

Question ??? acetone is not the same as alcohol

Now if Acetone is not anymore effective than Alcohol than I stand corrected and thanks for the clarification. I'll will follow you advise.

PS: could I use hydrogen peroxide instead of heat, as it is an oxidizer ??
