BLack spots under the leaves

A mature phalenopsis has gone absolutely silent since last 6 to 8 months while my others phals were developing new roots and leaves.
When I saw the under surface of the plant I saw dark marks.I saw the same under the leaves of some of my dendrobiums.Please comment on this condition.

How is your air circulation? It looks like a possible fungal infection.

Air circulation is good. No problem with it.

The lighter dessicated marks that I see make me think mites, or some other sucking insect. But the brown spots really hint at something fungal/bacterial. Are you sure there are no drops hanging on the bottoms of leaves when it's misted or watered?
If it's mites, I'd get aggressive quick before they take over. You might try spraying with brown listerine first, just to cover all of your bases. Could be both insect and infection.

Hi I water it twice a week and I mist it twice.
I will like to take measures for both bacterial,fungal and mites.
PLease tell me at what dilution I should spray Listerine.
I am a Periodontist.

The listerine you can use straight from the bottle. That's half the novelty!

I've actually found that the sprayer head from my spray bottle, will screw onto my small bottle of listerine. Very convenient!

you mean to say there is no need to dilute Listerine?

Nope, no need. The active ingredients in it come diluted enough to be used as is on plants/orchids. It's perfectly safe.

Looks like you have a combo there, fungus and mites - you can always count of those free loaders to show up at the party
I would spray those mites every 5 days for 3 weeks, allowing for those eggs to hatch out, you have to bring the hammer down of these guys.
