Default leaves not smooth but wavy

I have an orchid - phal - that al the leaves are wavy insted of smooth. All new growth turns wavy as well. Is the orchid sick?

Sounds like it's possibly dehydrated, have you checked the roots lately?

Sounds like it needs water. Don't know where you live, or what media you are using. It will help if you tell us more about the orchid., and its living quarters.

What is the species or hybrid, and how are you defining "wavy"? In my mind, wavy is opposed to flat, and rough is opposed to smooth.

There are phal species that can have leaves with wavy edges - pulchra and lueddamanniana, for example.

Hi,
When I received a Phal violacea a couple of months back it had 6 leaves and all were wavy. I wondered about the conditions it had been grown in, but the colour and integrity of the leaves/ roots seemed ok, so I didn't worry too much. Now a new leaf is growing (which is about an inch and a half long) and it is nice and smooth. I don't know if it'll go wavy once it's full size, but, for now, I'm thinking maybe I've got it in a better spot with the right waterings than it had before.
