Two unknown plant issues: what is it? Female
Default Two unknown plant issues: what is it?

This morning I noticed a small yellow clump on a piece of bark at the media surface in a pot. I put the piece of bark in a plastic baggie. Looking at it now, I also see a few little brown jelly-like blobs. My first reaction was that it was a fungus , but these little blobs are making me think that maybe it's an insect? I've been having a problem with fungus gnats lately, but I've only seen the adults. Could it be the larvae/pupa of the gnats?

If it helps, it's a Miltassia (I believe) and I usually water it about once a week, though a little more (maybe twice a week?) now that it's hotter.

And for issue #2, I have a Wilsonara Lisa Devos with some necrotic spots on the leaves. I bought it in rough shape as an out of bloom special, so I thought that the spots then were due to some rough handling in the greenhouse where I got it, but these same spots are starting to occur on the new growth as well...

Ok, I lied, third issue!
I got a bag baby Oncidium Sweet Sugar on clearance for $3. It looks really robust and healthy--even started growing out of the pot! But once I got it out of the baggie at home, I noticed an abnormality on the new growth--some little light colored long skinny spots. I just wanna make sure it's nothing serious before I integrate it into the main collection.

Thanks for the help!

Okay...here it goes
In my humble opinion, I see the following issues...
Picture one: The orange growth is most likely a mushroom type of fungus and I would question the source of your potting material.
Picture two: Could be fungus spots on the leaf. It really doesn't look bacterial and if it were, your plant would probably have deteriorated more quickly. Doesn't look like sunburn either. Only other thing it resembles to me is possible virus. If it is fungal, the spots will begin to sink and soften. In the picture they look a bit sunken.
Third picture: Also could be a fungal leaf spotting but looks more viral to me.

Hope that helps and would appreciate anyone with a bit more experience than me to chime in

I bought some of the test strips from Agdia and both 2 and 3 and both tested negative for CymMv and ORSV

Any other viruses it might be? I'm really surprised at the results, almost in disbeleif

Then I would treat with a systemic anti fungal like Cleary 3336. Glad the tests were negative

Thanks for the advice! Unfortunately, one of the other plants they were in isolation with tested positive for both CymMv and ORSV...so they are in isolation for another month and a half or so to see if they got infected from that plant (at which point I'll retest)...in the mean time, I'll be treating them with a systemic fungicide (it's scheduled to come in the mail tomorrow!)....I'm currently about going mad trying to scrape up the money to test my whole collection (I'm totally paranoid now...) Anyway, thanks!

Been there, lost 15 plants out of 85 (85x5=$425 )
I feel much better now though...I think
At any rate, you also have to be aware some plants can test negative if they are "happy and unstressed" and only convert to positive when stressed.
I do believe it is worthwhile to purge a collection of any ORSV+ plants and isolate any CymMV plants.
But don't let a negative test make you feel so safe that you stop using sterile blades, techniques etc...
