Default wierd spots on pseudobulb

I re-posted this in the pests and diseases section

first of all, I am having lots of sucess using spagh moss on this odontocidium hans isler. I have attatched a picture of the nice roots
..also, there is a new shoot coming up, so I will have a new pseudobulb

thank you all for helping me with my questions!!!

the only problem is... when I went ot take the pictures of the roots, I noticed strange markings on the oldest pseudobulb.(first picture) I check the plant almost everyday, and that was not there before. The largest pseudobulb has what looks to be a bit of these markings as well. Does anyone know what it is? Its not mushy, or crusty or anything, its just some strange coloring, it also doesn't scratch off...

Since I haven't seen any response, I'll take a gues (I don't grow Oncidium class orchids in moss so am only guessing) I see pretty full pseudobulbs. It's more common to see pleating as bulbs get older. I'm thinking this thing (while growing fine and with lots of roots) is really too wet. It's just a guess, but I'm think beginnings of pseudobulb rot. Hope I'm wrong.

Hmmm I was thinking rot too, but its strange because the markings are not exacltly rot colour, its more like a red... and if you look at the picture, it kinda looks like a pattern (the wiered stuff has an 'x' shape too it...) Also, the moss doesn't stay that wet, nor does it come up high on the bulb.

i hope its not rot though

an addional note... the other pseudobulbs don't have the same stuff on them.. thats just dried moss/media/scratches... its only the smallest pseudobulb showing the strange redish brown markings....

Not saying it's rot, just am saying it appears like rot. Could be nothing to worry about. As I said, I am not a sphagnum grower.
