That's why you do three, thorough treatments at fixed itervals. That prety much ensures you kill newly-maturing adults before they reproduce.

There are products that affect eggs and juveniles, like azadirachtin-based treatments and OrganiShield, but they require direct contact while the others also kill adults through plant juices when they bite.

Okay, I think I got it. Gotta bite to get the pesticide because it's systemic, and eggs and juvies don't bite.

Eggs, no; larvae, usually do bite. The toxin simply does not effect them.
