New Cymbidium with black spots on leaves
Question New Cymbidium with black spots on leaves

Semi-Cymbidium-newbie here with a degree in biology and I’m kicking myself that I can’t figure this out on my own lol Advise from the pro’s please!? I don’t want to infect my other cyms! Are these black spots a virus? I purchased this from a small grower who had at least a hundred and seemed knowledgeable, they were growing under a filtered light covered area, all seemed healthy and well cared for. She said she had just repotted this one for some reason even though it had flowers still, and she cut the leaves like this because she didn’t like that they flopped down?? She promised me it would be fine. I got it half off because the flower’s days were numbered but I was happy to wait till next year for this color bloom. I plan on potting it back into a plastic or terra cotta pot btw…but I’m nervous about infecting my other cyms if it’s diseased…any advise?
