Default Cattleya black spot growing
Help! In need of an advice!
I got new cattleya just several weeks ago. Roots were not good, but plant looked strong. I repotted it from rotting medium it came with into bark. But I noticed a small black spot on what looked like a flower pouch emerging from a new bulb.
And this black spot is growing. Should I try to cut it out? Or just let it rot?

I think that's a scratch from the stake or clip. I might gently remove the clip and try to stake it more gently.

Observe, don't cut. Plants tend to recover from minor "insults".
