Bacterial or fungal infection on Vanda?

Hi,
I’m new to the forum but have a few years experience with orchids. I’m fairly new to Vandas though and have a baby plant that seems to be doing well and this one which I’m afraid is I’m dire straits . I bought it a month ago and it seemed to be healthy, it had just finished flowering and was thus discounted. After a week it started to show yellowing/browning leaves about half way up the stem. As the browning started in the centre of the leaf and not at tips I suspected a fungal/bacterial infection so treated with the only thing available to me here that has worked for me in the past ( on phals mostly) -. Long story short after a week it seemed to be worsening so I retreated. Now a month on the stem is mostly yellow too. The roots to me appear healthy. Is there anyway to save it or the Keiki growing at the bottom?
BTW as it is early spring here in Northern Italy I still have my orchids in the bathroom at around 17-20 degrees C with quite good humidity and moderate indirect light.

How and how often are you watering? The leaves have linear wrinkles. It isn't getting enough water. Most people water bare-root Vandas every day. I think this is enough to explain the leaf drop.

A range of 17-20C is very cool for most Vandas, and not ideal. They prefer being much warmer in daytime.

They are high light plants. Moderate indirect light may not be enough. But that wouldn't cause leaf drop.

Hi,
Thanks for your super quick reply and the info. I've been watering once a week actually (submerging the roots for half an hour) as it's the end of winter and the bathroom can get quite humid. I didn't realise that it had to be watered every day actually unless it was outside and in warmer temperatures!
Unfortunately it gets pretty cold here in winter so I thought the bathroom was a pretty good place for it. It'll warm up all too soon as soon as the spring really kicks in. (It gets to 35C here in summer).
As for light same problem really I could put in brighter light in the kitchen but it would have very little humidity.
Do you think it will survive? It dropped a further 3 leaves today

Once a week - I believe that is the cause of the leaf drop. Cool temperatures also cause leaf drop. Water it every day. It takes more than a quick watering to turn the roots from silver to all green. It might survive to warm weather. If there is any way you can keep it warmer that will help.
